| Environmental awareness Many of today's building materials are made from potentially toxic, non-renewable sources and offer little hope of being recycled when their useful life span is over. artKtecture prefers to design in harmony with the environment by specifying renewable and/or natural materials that can be returned to the earth when their useful life span is complete.
